5 Ways to Re-use Your Memor Packaging
I am writing this on the approach to Christmas and know that there is going to be a lot of waste from the big day coming, each year on average an extra 30% of waste is produced just for this one occassion!
2020 has been a rollercoaster year, but in these times of lockdown more than ever, according to google, we have been searching for more ways to be sustainable. Well thats fantastic news and when purchasing the packaging for Memor I pre-thought of some ways memor can help. Lets talk about how to specifically reuse Memor's packaging and it might give you ideas for other things you receive too.
Do you have a pet?
They will love you for this one! Using the pillow box you can pop a treat in there with the shredded up tissue paper, they will have to snuffle with their noses and use their paws to extract the treat. A great new toy for them and a second use!
Re-use the bubble wrap.
Plastic is not great! There are so many better alternatives to bubble wrap, but people still use it today! The only reason I have used it and it has come with your order is because I have received it with something I have ordered. Unfortunately, not all companies are transparent and let you know about their packaging so sometimes I do unwittingly get some through the door. But don't let it just go to landfill! It can stay in use and away from the environment for longer. So its had 1 life getting to me, a second life getting to you and hopefully you will use it too! Even if you don't have a use now, you might soon, so pop it in a draw. I've told my friends and family if they receive bubble wrap with something, to keep it and give it to me, because I know I can keep it from the landfill for a bit longer.
The little 100% natural cotton pouch.
This has lots of uses. you can keep your jewellery in the pouch to protect it from getting surface scratches and helping to keep it clean when you aren't wearing it.
You could keep it for when you travel, to keep it safe in your handbag when your moving around and not able to wear it.
You could use it as a little makeup bag. No more scrabbling around in your handbag trying to find your lipstick, eye liner or lip balm. The bag is easy to spot and will keep these few bits together.
You could fill the bag with potpourri (dried nice smelling flowers) and then pop it in your wardrobe or clothing drawer to keep your clothes smelling fresh.
Going somewhere and need arcade machine coins or change for car parking, now you have a money pouch to make sure you keep it to one side!
There must be some more ideas for this handy little pouch!
The Ribbon.
It's already made from recycled material, but keep it to one side and reuse it when giving a future gift, the length should work with a lot of presents!
Or use it for your hair, a beautiful little ribbon to add style to your pony tail or alice band.
Or got kids? know kids? pop it in your craft draw and its something they can use when you do your next crafty make with them!
Tissue Paper
Again it's from a recycled material already, but why not keep it and use it with a future gift bag. Or do you need padding for a parcel your going to send?, use it then!
Again pop it in the craft draw for future use, its a pale colour so would be easy to be drawn on or cut and pasted into different shapes for the kids.
Don't forget, if you have truly used the item as much as possible, its all recyclable! So make sure you recycle it correctly to make sure it can be repurposed and stay in the cycle.
